TDS donation to assist Idaho farmworkers

CALDWELL, Idaho – In recognition of National Farmworker Appreciation efforts in April and the upcoming National Farmworker Women’s Health Week, TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) has donated needed supplies to the Community Council of Idaho.

The donation of 300 pairs of gloves, lip balm, water bottles, and cooling towels will assist farmworkers working in Idaho crops and calls attention to the health risks that women farmworkers face. A formal presentation was made Tuesday, May 14, at the Community Council of Idaho’s Caldwell office.

“TDS is proud to respond to the needs of our local communities and help any way we can. We’re pleased to make this donation to help ensure workers have what they need to continue their important work for our region,” said Pamela Hayn, associate manager of Field Marketing.

“The Community Council of Idaho is very appreciative of the support from TDS to help equip migrant and seasonal farmworkers with some of the most basic needs to keep them protected at work,” said Irma Morin, Community Council of Idaho CEO.
