TDS Telecom presents donation to Spokane Humane Society
Spokane, Washington (June 15, 2023) – TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) has presented a donation to the Spokane Humane Society ahead of the organization’s largest annual public event, the Parade of Paws.
The 20th annual Parade of Paws will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Humane Society, 6607 N. Havana St. The 2.4-mile walk raises money to help animals waiting for their forever homes. The TDS donation aims to raise awareness of the event and encourage others to support the Humane Society.
Michele Slattery, TDS Vice President of Sales, presented the donation Thursday and toured the Humane Society facility.
“Helping the communities we serve is a core part of TDS’ mission. For more than 125 years, the Spokane Humane Society has worked tirelessly to care for animals in need and place them into loving homes. It was an honor to be here today, and we hope the community joins us at the Parade of Paws this weekend,” Slattery said.
Since 1897, the Spokane Humane Society has acted as a refuge for animals in peril by providing care, shelter, and placement for tens of thousands of lost, neglected and unwanted animals. Throughout the years, the Humane Society has served many functions and now focuses on the care and placement of companion animals.
TDS is building a high-speed, all-fiber internet network in Spokane with speeds up to 8Gig, as well as TV and phone service.
