Public invited to TDS kickoff event featuring pets and Packers
Brookfield, Wisconsin – TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) is excited to mark the start of construction of its high-speed, all-fiber internet network with an event that raises money for the Elmbrook Humane Society and includes major Green Bay Packers giveaways for attendees.
The event will be held from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, at the Brookfield Civic Plaza, 2000 N. Calhoun Road. A brief program will be held at 5 p.m. featuring leaders from TDS, the Humane Society, Brookfield Chamber of Commerce, and community leaders, followed by a check presentation to the Humane Society.
TDS’ kickoff event will have a decidedly Packers theme: anyone who attends can enter to win tickets to a Green Bay Packers game and tours of Lambeau Field and the Packers Hall of Fame. Plus, attendees can meet and get a photo with former Green Bay Packer Gary Ellerson.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their pets; TDS will provide Packers-themed bandanas for animals, and if you dress your furry friend in their finest Packers gear, you could win a prize for the best-dressed pet! Pets must be on a leash.
TDS’ project will bring all-fiber internet to about 18,000 homes and businesses in Brookfield, with speeds up to 2Gig for residents and 10Gig dedicated connections for businesses. It’s one of two TDS projects in Waukesha County, as the Wisconsin-based company is also building a fiber internet network in New Berlin.
