First Bruceton, Tennessee customers connected to TDS fiber network

Up to 1Gig super high-speed data connections now available

TDS Telecommunications LLC (TDS®) is starting customer installations on its new fiber-optic network upgrade in Bruceton, Tennessee. The milestone means the up to 1Gig symmetrical internet speeds for homes, and up to 10Gig dedicated business connections, are now available to the first addresses included in the build area.

“We’re thrilled Bruceton customers can now experience the difference fiber makes for themselves,” says Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs Drew Petersen. “Regardless of how you use the internet, this multi-million-dollar project delivers the world-class connections everyone is looking for.”

Construction on TDS’ fiber network began late last year and is gradually becoming available as sections of the network are completed. The all-fiber network will ultimately connect approximately 2,500 locations across Bruceton. The high-tech infrastructure project has included burying conduit and fiber cable in public utility easement areas, as well as accessing utility poles to hang cable.

The company’s internet products come with symmetrical upload and download speed. Businesses in the build footprint can choose up to 10Gig dedicated connections that include a service level agreement, as well as phone service including managedIP, a hosted Voice over IP (VoIP) solution.

TDS is a leader in fiber-optic deployment and has been serving customers in Bruceton for 42 years. Residents can visit TDSFiber.com/TNfiber or call 1-888-225-5837 for more information about the new internet speeds.
