TDS fiber-optic service launched in Monona, Wisconsin

More than 1,500 area customers can connect to 1Gig service

TDS Telecom’s (TDS®) fiber-to-the-home network is now available to the first residential and business customers in Monona, Wisconsin. As of today, about 1,500 addresses have access to TDS’ gigabit (1Gig) internet speeds along with TV and phone service. Over the coming months, additional launches will bring the total number of addresses with access to TDS Fiber to about 5,300.

“We’re so pleased to begin connecting customers so they can experience the TDS Fiber difference,” says Julie Maiers, vice president of Marketing and Product Development at TDS. “The network delivers the bandwidth and the fast speeds people want and need to work at home, attend online classes, or enjoy their favorite entertainment.”

The rollout of the TDS fiber network in Monona also brings a new TV service choice to area residents. TDS’ offering includes a variety of advanced features including TV Everywhere, as well as local broadcast channels, regional sports content, and national cable networks.

Businesses within the TDS Fiber footprint can order internet access and transport connections up to 10Gig via dedicated fiber, TDS managedIP (a hosted VoIP communications solution), and TDS TV.

Registered customers in the launch areas will be contacted to schedule their installations.

Area residents can visit TDSFiber.com to see if their address is included in the fiber build and sign up for notifications about the new service.
