Broadband Expansion Grants Approved in Wisconsin Budget

TDS commends state leaders on their commitment to bridge digital divide

TDS Telecom (TDS®) is releasing the following statement on the new Wisconsin biennial budget that was signed into law today. The statement can be attributed to Kit Beyer, director of External Affairs and Communications at TDS Telecom:

“TDS would like to thank Governor Tony Evers, legislative leaders, and lawmakers for their work on the bipartisan state budget that makes the largest tax cut in Wisconsin history and invests $129 million in the Broadband Expansion Grant program.

“TDS applauds the bipartisan support for the expansion of the state’s broadband grant program. We know Wisconsin’s future success depends on high-quality internet services. Families and businesses have come to expect reliable and fast internet speeds no matter where they choose to live and work in the Badger State. TDS plans to aggressively pursue broadband grants in Wisconsin and throughout the country to increase broadband access to unserved and underserved areas of the country.”
