Ultra 300 launched in Hobbs, NM, Cedar City, Utah

Customers can now work and play faster online

Starting today, TDS Telecom (TDS®) residential and business customers can now work and play faster online with the launch of 300 megabits per second of internet speeds in Hobbs, N.M. and Cedar City, Utah.

The new Ultra 300 and Business 300 internet services provide residential and business customers download speeds of up to 300 megabits per second and upload speeds of up to 10 megabits per second.

“This speed is leaps and bounds above the national average,” said Shane West, vice president of Marketing and Product Development for TDS. “We’ve invested heavily in Hobbs and Cedar City, which has paved the way for groundbreaking launches like this one.”

Ultra 300 and Business 300 customers can download up to three times faster than with the previous highest speed offering from TDS.  In 2016, the average worldwide internet speed was 6.3 megabits per second and in the United States, the average internet speed was 15.3 Mbps.

The new speeds provide faster website load and faster speeds to better support multiple devices, West added.
