TDS® brings TDS TV® and 25 Mb Internet to New Richmond, Indiana

Faster Internet speeds and revolutionary TV service are coming to New Richmond, Indiana.

TDS Telecom (TDS®) is expanding TDS TV®, an Internet Protocol (IP)-based TV service, and new, faster Internet speeds of up to 25 Mb to customers in New Richmond. The services are expected to begin launching in August, and include the surrounding communities of Colfax, Wingate, Linden and Romney.

Since first introducing TDS TV in 2008, TDS has invested $25-30 million to deploy TV service technology across the country.

“With the success of TDS TV in communities across the country, we couldn’t be more excited to bring it to New Richmond,” says Julie Maiers, director of Marketing at TDS. “It means faster speeds, a new choice for TV service, and the opportunity for exclusive discounts.”

TDS TV is powered by Mediaroom® and features more than 260 all-digital channels (including 100+ in HD), on-demand TV and movies, pay-per-view, and on-the-go viewing options with TDS TV Everywhere. TDS TV also includes a Connected-Home DVR, which links all TVs together in a home so customers can:
Record up to four shows at once in HD;
Connect up to 10 TVs to enable DVR functionality on all;
Schedule and playback recordings on any connected TV; and
Store up to 400 hours of programming (standard-definition).

Wireless set-top boxes are also available with TDS TV. Without being tethered to a cable jack, wireless set-top boxes allow customers the flexibility to move their TVs anywhere in a room—all that’s needed is a power outlet.
