1Gig internet and TDS TV+ now available in Mosinee, Wisconsin

Fiber network launching to more than 350 addresses

TDS Telecom (TDS®) has launched its fiber-optic service to the first 350 homes and businesses in Mosinee, Wisconsin. This service, available today, delivers internet speeds up to 1 gigabit (1Gig), TDS TV+®, the company’s new cloud-based TV product, and digital phone. This is the first of several service rollouts that will continue in the months ahead.

“This fiber-optic network will deliver the full TDS product suite to more than 3,000 homes and businesses when it is complete,” says Julie Maiers, vice president of Marketing and Product Development at TDS. “The demands of today’s households—streaming, gaming, work, and remote learning—are easily handled with our reliable fiber technology.”

In addition to 1Gig internet speeds, TDS’ launch gives Mosinee residents a new choice of TV provider and a new-to-the-market TV experience, TDS TV+. It’s a cloud-based TV service that combines live TV—broadcast channels, regional sports content, and national cable channels—with streaming services like Netflix*.

TDS TV+ uses smart technology to provide custom recommendations based on a customer’s viewing habits, while the voice-activated remote allows customers to have quick access to the full functionality of their TV experience. Customers can also stream live TV and recordings on personal devices at home or on-the-go with TV Everywhere.

Business customers can choose internet access and transport connections up to 10Gig via dedicated fiber and TDS managedIP, a hosted VoIP communications solution. TDS TV is also available to business customers in the fiber footprint.

Mosinee residents can visit TDSFiber.com to order service and see if their address will be included in the fiber build.

*Netflix requires streaming membership
