Fiber build will quadruple the availability of 1Gig internet in Cross Plains

TDS fiber expansion will add more than 1,200 addresses to the 1Gig internet footprint

TDS Telecom (TDS®) is rapidly expanding its fiber-optic network in Cross Plains, Wisconsin. Beginning this week, the company is launching 1 gigabit (1Gig) internet to more than 400 additional residential and business addresses. When the network is complete later this year, more than 1,200 Cross Plains addresses will gain access to reliable fiber services.

“The all-fiber network delivers internet speeds up to 1Gig with symmetrical download and upload options, digital phone service, and TDS TV+®, our new cloud-based TV product,” says Julie Maiers, vice president of Marketing and Product Development at TDS. “Fiber technology easily handles the demands of today’s connected households, including streaming, gaming, remote work, and virtual learning.”

Business customers can choose internet access and transport connections up to 10Gig via dedicated fiber and TDS managedIP, a hosted Voice over IP (VoIP) communications solution. TDS TV is also available to business customers in the fiber footprint.

The Cross Plains network expansion comes on the heels of the introduction of TDS’ latest TV service, TDS TV+. This cloud-based offering combines live TV—broadcast channels, regional sports content, and national cable channels—with streaming services like Netflix*. TDS TV+ also brings a robust recommendation platform, voice-activated remote, and it allows customers to stream live TV and recordings on personal devices at home or on-the-go with TV Everywhere.

Cross Plains residents can visit TDSfiber.com to register for bonus offers, order service and see if their address will be included in the fiber build.
