Vice President of Data Management and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)
Steve was appointed Vice President of Data Management and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in December 2023. Steve has served as CISO since April 2022. In this role, he leads cybersecurity and risk management functions at TDS Telecom and its parent company, Telephone and Data Systems, Inc. As the Vice President of Data Management, Steve oversees TDS Telecom’s data management teams, helping drive positive customer experiences.
Since joining TDS Telecom in 2000, Steve has led teams and initiatives in Network Services, Product Development, and Information Technology. His leadership experience includes several director-level roles. Most recently, Steve served as director of the Security and Technology Center of Excellence.
Steve earned an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Information Systems from Wartburg College (Iowa). Originally from Mendota, Illinois, Steve and his family have lived happily in Milton, Wisconsin for over 20 years. When he’s not working, Steve enjoys spending time with his family and bicycling. Steve is an ardent supporter of Rock University High School, where he serves on the governing board.
