Vice President of Customer Contact Operations
John became VP of Customer Contact Operations again in January 2023, a role he previously held from 2006-2021. In this role, John leads a team of more than 1,000 associates and partners and has overall leadership responsibility for the company’s consumer sales group. Consumer sales involve inbound calls, outbound calls, door-to-door and retail sales channels, retention, and customer care teams. John also oversees the consumer and commercial repair, collections, and contact center support groups such as second level support, procedures, training, quality, workforce management, and partner management. Under his leadership, the consumer sales teams focus on delivering high-speed internet, HD video, and voice services while the customer care teams concentrate on assuring customers are highly satisfied.
John first joined TDS Telecom’s parent company, Telephone and Data Systems Inc., in 1989 as a corporate accountant. In his most recent role as VP of Service Assurance and Support, he led the teams responsible for all consumer, commercial, and carrier order documentation, provisioning, and circuit design. He also oversaw the teams responsible for installing, monitoring, and repairing all aspects of TDS’ phone, internet, and video solution networks throughout the company’s wireline and cable footprints.
In his free time, John enjoys family time, fitness, and reading. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Quincy University in Quincy, Illinois, and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Chicago.
