Note: The Gmail app does not work with TDS email. Please use the
email app that is provided with your mobile device.


Depending on how the current email account is setup on the apple device
will determine how it needs to be updated.

To change from the Gmail app to your mobile device’s email app:

  1. Press Settings
  2. Press Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  3. Press the TDS Gmail account
  4. Press Delete Account
  5. Press yes (or delete again on some iOS devices)
  6. Press Add Account.
  7. Press Other
  8. Press Add Mail Account
  9. Fill in the following Information:
    • Name: Your full name
    • Email: Your Complete TDS email address
    • Password: Your TDS Email password
    • Description: How you refer to this account (suggestion:
      your TDS Email address)
  10. Press Next
  11. Press Save

To change your email settings in your mobile device's default email app (IMAP):

  1. Press Settings
  2. Press Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  3. Select the TDS Gmail account
  4. Press on Account
  5. Update the following Information
    • Incoming Mail Server
      1. Host Name: mail.tds.net
      2. Username:Your Full TDS Email Address
      3. Password: Your TDS Email password
  6. Click on Outgoing Mail Server
  7. Click on the Primary Server
  8. Fill in the Following information
    • Host Name: mail.tds.net
    • Username: Your Full TDS Email Address
    • Password: Your TDS Email password
    • Use SSL: Make sure this is set to yes
    • Authentication: Should be set to password
    • Server Port: 587
    • Press Done
  9. Press Account (The actual name may vary)
  10. Press Advanced
  11. Fill in the Following Information
    • Set SSL to Yes.
    • Authentication - Should be set to password.
    • Set Server Port to 993
  12. Press Account to go previous screen (The actual name may vary)
  13. Press Done

To change your email settings in your mobile device’s default email app (POP):

  1. Press Settings
  2. Press Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  3. Press the TDS Gmail account
  4. Fill in the following
    • Incoming Mail Server
      1. Host Name: mail.tds.net
      2. Username:Your Full TDS Email Address
      3. Password: Your TDS Email password
  5. Click on Outgoing Mail Server
  6. Click on the Primary Server
  7. Fill in the Following information
    • Host Name: mail.tds.net
    • Username: Your Full TDS Email Address
    • Password: Your TDS Email password
    • Use SSL: Make sure this is set to yes
    • Authentication: Should be set to password
    • Server Port: 587
    • Press Done
  8. Press Account (The actual name may vary)
  9. Press Advanced
  10. Fill in the Following Information
    • Set SSL to Yes.
    • Authentication - Should be set to password.
    • Set Server Port to 995
  11. Press Account to go previous screen (The actual name may vary)
  12. Press Done

To receive TDS Email on your mobile device for the first time:

  1. Press Settings
  2. Press Mail, Contacts, Calendars
  3. Press Add Account...
  4. Press Other
  5. Press Add Mail Account
  6. Fill in the Following information
    • Name: Your Name
    • Email: Your Complete TDS email address
    • Password: Your TDS Email password
    • Description: What you want to call the email account
  7. Press Next
  8. Fill in the following:
    Incoming Mail Server:
    Host Name - mail.tds.net
    Username - Your Full TDS Email Address
    Password - Your TDS email password

    Outgoing Mail server:
    Host Name - mail.tds.net
    Username - Your Full TDS Email Address
    Password - Your TDS email password

  9. Press Next (Account will auto verify)
  10. Press Save
